Book of Questions
Book of Questions is a song cycle written with composer Joshua Morris. Taking as its inspiration and partial text the 2,087 question questionnaire used in S. Anski’s Jewish Ethnographic Expedition in the Pale of Settlement (1912-13), this work explores how cultural and individual memory is made from questions with missing answers. Book of Questions premiered at the Museum at Eldridge Street in December 2015 and was supported in its development by a grant from Asylum Arts. (Photo credit: YIVO Institute)

From 2013-2017, I ran MFA Day Job, a website featuring the stories of writers making a living outside of academia and highlighting issues of the creative economy and higher education in the arts. Featuring interviews with Morgan Parker, Julia Fierro, Irene Mathieu, and many others.
